Tips for your yeast infection diet:

  1. Eat real food with every meal and do not skip a meal. Snack on vegetables between meals.
  2. Eat at least on, but preferably two, portions of each of the following groups of vegetables: green leafy vegetables, red vegetables, orange vegetables, purple vegetables, green vegetables, yellow vegetables, white vegetables and root vegetables.
  3. As far as possible, eat the vegetables raw.
  4. Eat about ten to fifteen portions a week of the following protein groups: poultry, eggs, fish, and red meat. Choose white meat and fish most of the time.
  5. Prepare meats by steaming, broiling or baking, try to prevent eating fried food. Steer clear of fatty skins on meat and meat that is highly marbled with fat.
  6. Drink at least an 8 ounce glass of just before every meal and try and drink a total of at least 8 glasses of water a day.
  7. Try and drink mineral water or herbal teas instead of coffee and soda.
  8. Use sea salt sparingly and use unsalted butter in small amount instead of margarine. Season food with herbs and spices.
  9. Avoid fast foods, junk foods and avoid fruits and snacks because of the sugar in the fruits and snacks. Unfortunately, even though fruit are very healthy, they contain a lot of sugar that can feed the fungus Candid that is causing the problems.
  10. Eat natural food, no sugar.
  11. Buy fresh meat and vegetables as far as possible.
  12. Eat moderately and if you still feel hungry snack on vegetables.
  13. Eat only plain unflavored, unsweetened yoghurt and preferably no milk. The green leafy vegetables should provide all the calcium you need.
  14. Use a yeast free balanced nutritional supplement daily.
